Who Are We?

Restorations stands for the truth that individuals are made perfectly and purposefully by God with the right to live free from exploitation and abuse. We will create a community that rejoices in each other's uniqueness, restores physical, spiritual and mental well-being, and empowers individuals to step into their life's purpose.

Dave has had over 40 years of leadership experience in North America and internationally as a pastor, denominational church leader and leadership coach. His life journey has gained for him involvement in a variety of settings and cultures where he has been able to cultivate an environment of inquiry and intentionality for moving leaders and organizations forward. Dave has been especially instrumental in speaking into situations where people were "stuck" and enabling them to transition into purposeful space.

Dave has served on a number of not-for-profit boards, including Bible College and Seminary boards, denominational leadership boards (The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada), a local community board (Niagara-on-the-Lake Bed and Breakfast Association) and in humanitarian settings (Food for the Hungry Canada as chairman). Dave is at the stage of life where his gifts, skill development and experience have reached a level of convergence that has prompted him to venture out in a journey of faith in order to give back in ways that would allow him to participate in advancing God's kingdom in an ever increasing realm. For this reason, he has accepted a leadership role in the development of Restorations Second Stage Homes.

Dave has been married to Janie, his lifelong friend and sweetheart, for 44 years. Together they have four children, all of whom are married, and 13 grandchildren.
